Maturation and Development of Social Behaviour During Early Ontogeny in Free-Ranging Dog Puppies in West Bengal, India

This study investigates the maturation and development of social behavior in free-ranging dog puppies in West Bengal, India. The author observes and records the social behavior of puppies from birth to 12 weeks of age and analyzes the data to determine the frequency and types of social behavior exhibited by the puppies at different stages of development. The study finds that social behavior in puppies develops rapidly during the first few weeks of life, and that the frequency and types of social behavior exhibited by the puppies change as they mature. The study also finds that the social behavior of puppies is influenced by a variety of factors, including litter size, sex, and maternal behavior. The study concludes that the early development of social behavior in puppies is an important aspect of their overall development, and that further research is needed to better understand the factors that influence this development.
